Velez

With over 20 years of experience in the business world, Velez has given lectures in many business lectures and is a well-respected authority on financial matters. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and holder of an MBA from Rice University, she started her career as an investment banker with Dean Witter Reynolds. She later moved to Goldman Sachs & Co., where she became a partner. In 1998, she founded her own company, which quickly became one of the largest female-owned investment banks in the country.
